Estrange: cause to no longer be close

or affectionate.

From extraneous: not belonging

to the family.

From the Italian extraneare: treat as a stranger.

Estrange: I think we’ve been using the wrong word

all this time.

Use strange, instead.

We were strange to one another. We are strange

To one another. We are strange:

unusual or surprising in a way

hard to understand.

If we are strange, and not estranged,

I will say hello when settled.
