Estrange: cause to no longer be close
or affectionate.
From extraneous: not belonging
to the family.
From the Italian extraneare: treat as a stranger.
Estrange: I think we’ve been using the wrong word
all this time.
Use strange, instead.
We were strange to one another. We are strange
To one another. We are strange:
unusual or surprising in a way
unsettling
hard to understand.
If we are strange, and not estranged,
I will say hello when settled.
